Thermaltake Tsunami Dream
Conclusion:
The Tsunami Dream is a good looking case which is mainly designed for modding and design fans. But its ambitions are bigger as one would imagine thanks to the permissive equipped ventilation with two 120mm fans in the front and
the back. The processing is good. The case has slightly to many plastic parts for a price of 149,- Euro. The Tsunami scores mainly with its many nifty extras.

Preface:
We already had the chance the admire the Thermaltake Tsunami Dream Case at the Cebit this year. Finally, we were able to get this case from the company www.tower-style.de. Now we will have a closer look into the details. On the first impression it looks similar to the Coolermaster Wave Case.
Scope of delivery:
The case is delivered in a solid built carton with a handle. All necessary screws and other bits and pieces are included as well as a manual. As extra we found a fine duster. 3 fans are included, too (2x 120mm and 1x 92mm).
First impressions:
The design seems to be similar to the CoolerMaster Wave case. But in contrast to the CoolerMaster the Tsunami offers the possibility to mount 2 big 120mm fans which are included in the scope of delivery. The two fans are mounted behind the front and on the backside of the case. An additional 92mm fan is mounted on the side.
Structure and processing:
As a basic principle the Tsunami is quite permissive about the space available. Unfortunately there are many plastic parts integrated in the front and the case lid.
The processing is good as expected of a price of 149,-Euro. But it shouldn’t be compared to 500 Euro cases as the Silentmaxx P1 or the Deltatronic. However the slightly more expensive Coolermaster Wave Case is obviously a class better regarding the material processing while the Tsunami is clearly better equipped with fans.
The Tsunami scores with its bits and pieces as the case windows, the fan lighting, side door interlocking, cards interlocking or the lockable front and side door.
Inner Values:
All edges are deburred. The power supply lies on just one small unwrapped sheet metal stripe for the most part hold by the mounting screws.
The whole front side is divided into two areas. The first one is the whole front covering and the 2nd is another case front board which can be flipped open. You can lock both with the key.
The drive rails are very handy, nearly all manufacturers have installed these in more or less good quality. Problems will only appear if hard drive disk insulation cases are used, because these are mounted directly to the case with their rubber buffers.
The plastic interlocking for the PCI slots is well made. We already tested some cases where we had problems with locking the graphic cards, but there are no problems with the Tsunami Dream Case.
Functionality:
Design and functionality are well combined, of course it is a matter of taste, too. A design case, you want to put on and not hide it under your desk, is better equipped with front connectors then with connectors on the case lid.
The ventilation is a lot better then needed and two 120mm fans are the best for a Midi Tower.
A disadvantage we found is the missing motherboard sled.
Comparing and recommendation to buy:
We are nearly forced to compare the Tsunami Dream and the Coolermaster Wave as a result of the similar design. The user has to decide what he wants to have and where he finds his main focus.
The user who wants a simple, solid, noble and high quality case without playful extras should take the CoolerMaster.
The user who attaches importance to many extras around the case as lockable doors, lighted fans, a big side window as well as maximal ventilation should take the Tsunami.
Acknowledgment:
We thank www.tower-style.de for the unproblematic and fast offering of the testing pattern.

Quality:
One should not compare the processing quality to a high end case which costs the double or even the treble of the Tsunami Dream. Regarding the price performance ratio the quality is good.
